What is a suction D&C
Suction dilation and curettage commonly referred to as Suction D&C, is a procedure in which contents from the inside of the uterus are removed. "Dilation" refers to the opening of the cervix and "curettage" refers to the aspiration or removal of tissue within the uterus. This procedure is commonly performed as a treatment for miscarriage or retained placenta after vaginal delivery. Minimal discomfort may be felt after words.
